With smaller 0.7mm hooks (compared to the standard 1.1mm) and reinforced hook walls at 1.35mm, the CCC provides superior impact protection, even at lower pressures.

Handcrafted Durability

Each wheel is hand-laced with double-butted J-bend spokes and brass nipples, featuring a 2.8mm spoke offset for improved spoke tension balance. A two-cross lacing pattern ensures the wheels withstand high-torque loads, while multiple spoke count options handle heavier riders or gear.

The CCC spins on BOYD Quest disc brake hubs, which offer five-degree engagement, a quick-swap freehub body, press-fit end caps, and compatibility with Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo cassettes. This disc-specific wheelset weighs 1,515g and is engineered for every day and every road.

The Name: CCC

The CCC takes its name from the Civilian Conservation Corps, a Depression-era program that provided jobs to young men and support to struggling families. In the mountains of South Carolina, remnants of “Old CCC” roads remain deep in the woods, now favourite exploration spots for Boyd Johnson, founder of Boyd Cycling.
