The Zipp 404 S rear wheel brings flagship-derived aerodynamics to a sensible price. Its 50mm mid-depth profile is borrowed from Zipp's WorldTour-proven Firecrest design, delivering premium aero performance while staying shallow enough to keep the bike stable when the wind picks up.

Zipp claim the 404 S saves around two watts over the 303 S, and considerably more against rival wheels costing far more. The rim is a hookless, tubeless-only Tubeless Straight Side design, so with modern tubeless tyres it runs lower pressures for a smoother, faster ride with more grip.

Drive comes from Zipp's 176 rear hub with 36 points of engagement for quick, reliable pick-up, laced with durable Sapim CX-Sprint spokes in a 2-cross build. Available with a SRAM/Shimano HG or SRAM XDR freehub, in Dark Grey or White.
