This is the genuine RockShox hose barb for the seatpost end of a Reverb or Reverb Stealth dropper post. The barb pushes into the end of the hydraulic hose and threads into the post, creating the sealed joint that carries fluid between the remote and the post.

Barbs are designed for one-time use, so whenever you shorten a Reverb hose, fit a new one or re-route it through a new frame, you'll need a fresh barb to get a reliable, leak-free seal. It's a small part, but a worn or reused barb is one of the most common causes of a spongy remote or a post that won't hold its height. Sold individually.
