Some wheel truing stands cost £300+, another £700+, so why is this so cheap, you may be wondering?

Quite simply, it only holds the wheel from one side. So you have to spin the wheel carefully, and let the wobble die down in the stand before measuring the wheel's straightness. My first wheel in this was a 29" with a 2.6" tyre and tubeless sealant sloshing around inside. It was fine, but I expect it would be more stable with less mass attached, ie without a tyre and sealant

A dedicated wheel builder would laugh at this, but I'm just a cyclist wanting to work on his own wheels once a year.

I was able to accurately straighten my rotors within a minute or two each. I established that both my wheels were perfectly true radially, and within a few more minutes, I had them almost perfect laterally.

For the special price I paid for this, I'm delighted.
