  • Shimano 24mm to BB30/PF30 68mm Road Ceramic Bottom Bracket Black / 68mm

Praxis Works Shimano Hollowtech II Bottom Bracket Converter

The Praxis Works Shimano Hollowtech II BB Converter allows installation of Shimano Hollowtech II road cranks into BB30, PF30, and Specialized OSBB road frames. Engineered for precision and rigidity, it features high-grade Enduro 2437 fully sealed bearings and a patent-pending design that keeps bearings outboard of the frame to Shimano specifications, eliminating tolerance and alignment issues common with other conversion systems.

Features

  • Compatibility: Shimano Hollowtech II road cranks only

  • Patent-Pending Outboard Bearing Design: Bearings remain perfectly aligned for greater rigidity

  • Collet Style Non-Drive Cup: Expands evenly during installation for a tight, wiggle-free fit

  • Non-Drive O-Ring: Compensates for frame shell width discrepancies

  • Material: Forged & machined heat-treated 7075 T6 aluminium

  • Bearings: Enduro 2437 ceramic cartridge

  • Frame Fit: 68 mm Road; BB30, PF30, and Specialized OSBB aluminium frames (OSBB requires 68 mm OSBB sleeve)

Installation Notes

  • Not compatible with BBRight, 386EVO, or Cannondale BB30A/PF30A frames

  • Frame shell must be free of internal obstructions (e.g., cable guides or screws)

  • 68 mm Road version cannot be used for MTB cranks

  • Requires two standard BB tools with 16 external notches and 44 mm ID, plus a press tool/drift for installation

How It Works

  • Press the longer non-drive cup into the frame

  • Thread the shorter drive cup into the non-drive cup

  • As the drive cup threads in, the collet system expands to a precise limit, evenly dispersing pressure for a super-tight, secure fit

  • The non-drive o-ring compensates for frame width variations, ensuring perfect alignment and preventing bearing misalignment or movement
