The Orbea Occam SL is the lighter, faster side of the Occam family – a 140mm trail bike built for riders who want to cover big ground quickly and still have fun when the trail points down. Where the LT chases all-out capability, the SL is all about efficiency and flow, with a light frame, Fast Trail geometry and 140mm of well-controlled travel front and rear that rewards a smooth, active riding style.

It shares the clever thinking that runs through every Occam: Attitude Adjust and an angle-adjustable headset to fine-tune the geometry, a Squidlock remote so you can firm up the suspension without taking a hand off the bar, and neat touches like LOCKR in-frame storage, a multitool hidden in the pivot and fully sealed bearings. It makes a genuine quiver-of-one for fast trail riding and long days in the hills.

The Occam SL H30 is the most affordable way onto the Occam SL platform, bringing the full 140mm fast-trail ride – geometry, suspension design and clever features – in Orbea's High Polish Alloy frame to keep the price down. It is a great first proper trail bike, or a sensible pick for anyone who would rather invest in a reliable, ready-to-ride build than chase frame weight. It runs a Marzocchi Bomber Z2 140 Rail Remote Push-Lock QR15x110 fork and a Fox Float Performance Remote Push-lock Evol custom tune 210x50mm shock. Finishing kit includes Shimano Deore M6200 SGS Shadow Plus shifting and Shimano MT201 Hydraulic Disc brakes.
