The Team DH is the production version of the downhill bike Norco's World Cup team races. It was developed over five years alongside the Norco Race Division, and it started from a simple brief: build the fastest bike possible to help build the fastest race team. The suspension, the adjustability, the frame construction and the sizing all follow from that.

At its heart is the brand's patented High Virtual Pivot Six-Link suspension, with 200mm of travel front and rear. It is built to stay active through repeated high-speed hits, stay composed under hard braking and give you support through the turns, so you can hold your line and carry speed down the roughest tracks.

The frame pairs an alloy front triangle with a carbon rear triangle, and it is adjustable in the places racers actually tune. Reach, progression and anti-squat can all be changed, with three reach positions 5mm apart on every size. It runs mixed wheels, 29" up front and 27.5" out back.

With Race Division riders ranging from around 5ft to 6ft 3in, the Team DH needed to fit and handle the same across a wide spread of heights. So there are five sizes, S1 to S5, each with its own rear centre length, from 440mm on the S1 and S2 to 447.5mm on the S5, to keep weight distribution and handling consistent through the range.

It is easy to live with between runs too. Simplified pivot hardware, top-hat spacers that stay in place during assembly and external cable routing keep maintenance straightforward. The DH2 build hangs a FOX 40 Performance Elite GRIP X2 fork and a FOX Factory DHX2 coil shock on a Sprindex spring off that frame, with SRAM Maven Base brakes on 200mm rotors, a SRAM GX DH 7-speed drivetrain and Maxxis Assegai and Minion DHR II tyres in MaxxGrip DH casing.
