Description

How do you deliver next-level enduro performance without busting your wallet? The One-Sixty 6000 is how. By pairing the radical geometry of a new all-carbon frame to components that get the job done without shouting about it. A RockShox ZEB fork and Super Deluxe shock paired to Merida's new FAST kinematic suspension deliver a ride that wants to eat up rocks so fast you'll be worried about its waistline, while proven Shimano drivetrain and brakes deliver control in any situation.

The One-Sixty is a radical, all-new design that pushes Merida's hard-hitting enduro platform to new heights. Just as well, because once it's there it's ready to rip the longest, toughest descents too. Merida's new suspension system uses a flexstay design with an adjustable rocker, so whether you choose to run it as a full 29er (162mm travel) or mixed 29/27.5" setup (171mm travel), the geometry is preserved. There's a radically steep 79° seat tube angle for goat-like climbing and slack 64° head angle plus 170mm fork to deal with downhill trail chaos. New sizing allows riders to run a longer or shorter reach frame independently of their height, while suspension becomes more progressive as you size up, all with long-travel dropper posts. Wire Port cable routing plus reliable threaded bottom bracket round out the package, while carbon frame models offer on-board tool storage and FidLock magnetic bottle cages.

We have 1x XL purple at a more reduced price as this has a very shallow thin scratch on it. See image. It's runs vertically down the top tube/downtube junction.

Merida Sizing -

  • X-Short: 145cm - 165cm
  • Short: 155cm - 175cm
  • Mid: 165cm - 185cm
  • Long: 175cm - 195cm
  • X-Long: 185cm+

Merida's latest range of mountain bikes makes use of a slightly new approach to sizing. Merida encourage riders to consider their riding style when selecting a frame size.

For example the Mid size frame is suitable for riders of heights between 165-185cm. This means a rider of height 175cm could select a Short frame if the preference is agility, Mid for a balanced ride or Long for stability.

The best bike at this price with a BUT

This is definitely one of the best enduro bikes that have been on the market recently. However, beware that there are a few concept engineering issues with this model (because this is a new bike for Merida). Most of these issues are fixed with the 2024 model, they include:

Awkward internal routing - you have to bleed brakes as the brake and shifting cables when you want to change headset bearing - the cables go through the headset bearing. Also the headtube cover is completely opened where the cable enters the frame so dirt will get inside quick and start cracking. The 2024 model fixed this by installing the "is52 headtube cover by Acros" https://acros-components.com/en/headsets/is52-headtube-cover-merida-carbon-frame . I suggest that you change this ASAP or fill the holes with silicone sealant.

Saddle is a bit finnicky - this is fixed in 2024 version. Internal cable routing is an absolute pain for maintenance - there is very little space in the crank area when you need to remove and reinsert the cables.

Great deals on bikes backed up with a five star after care service!

I absolutely love my new bike. There was a slight warranty issue with it upon arrival but this was remedied immediately by the guys at bike tart! A great deal with excellent customer service!

Would buy from them again for sure!
