Merida's latest range of mountain bikes makes use of a slightly new approach to sizing. Merida encourage riders to consider their riding style when selecting a frame size. 

For example the Mid size frame is suitable for riders of heights between 165-185cm. This means a rider of height 175cm could select a Short frame if the preference is agility, Mid for a balanced ride or Long for stability.

    Amazing bike, all rounder

    Merida ONE-FORTY 700 Review

    I’ve been riding the Merida ONE-FORTY 700 for a while now, and honestly, it has completely changed what I expect from a trail bike. This is a bike that manages to feel incredibly capable when things get rough without becoming a nightmare to pedal back up the hill. Equipped with Marzocchi suspension, it has a fantastic balance between comfort, control and confidence, which is exactly what I was looking for.

    The first thing that stood out to me was how planted the bike feels. The Marzocchi suspension does an excellent job of soaking up roots, rocks and all the other unpleasant surprises that British trails like to throw at you. It gives you that lovely feeling of being able to point the bike downhill and trust it to deal with whatever is underneath the tyres. There’s plenty of travel for proper trail riding, but it doesn’t feel like you’re riding a massive enduro bike when you’re simply cruising around.

    And that’s probably my favourite thing about the ONE-FORTY: its versatility. It feels equally happy climbing, flowing through technical sections and absolutely sending it downhill. The geometry gives you a lot of confidence when the trail gets steep, while still keeping the bike reasonably lively when you’re pedalling. After spending a long time away from mountain biking, I found that particularly valuable because the bike inspires confidence rather than making you feel like you need to constantly fight it.

    The Marzocchi suspension deserves…

    Best bike and best customer service ever!! Its been a pleasure speaking with the team despite me calling them daily, they always attended the phone and clarify my dobuts! Helped me seyting the bike tubeless!
