The same idea as the eSilex 400, built around a simpler and wider-range drivetrain. A sophisticated aluminium frame carries MAHLE's ebikemotion X30 rear hub motor, giving you quiet assistance when you want to go further or carry more, on a bike that still feels lively with the power off.

The X30 delivers 40Nm through the rear hub from a 237Wh battery hidden in the down tube. Low system weight and almost no motor drag when unassisted mean it rides much like an unpowered gravel bike, which is exactly the point. An iWoc button on the top tube cycles the support levels, and the app lets you adjust the feel and review rides afterwards.

SRAM's Apex 1 x 12 Eagle setup is the big difference here. A single chainring and a 10-50 cassette give a huge spread of gears with nothing to think about at the front, which suits steep, loose gravel and loaded riding. A carbon seat post and MAT carbon fork add comfort, and Schwalbe G-One RX Performance tyres in 45mm run tubeless-ready on Merida Comp SL II rims.

Mounts for mudguards and a rack, a hidden kickstand mount and internal cable routing through a dedicated headset cap make it genuinely useful year round, not just at weekends.
