The Crossway 10 is a hybrid built for the everyday - the ride to work, the school run, a Sunday potter along the canal. Its TFS IV frame uses double butted technoformed 6061 aluminium with a steeply sloping top tube for generous standover, internal cable routing to keep things tidy, and mounts for a rack, mudguards and a kickstand, so it can be set up as a proper year-round bike rather than a fair-weather one.
An 80mm SR Suntour XCS28 coil fork takes the sting out of kerbs and broken tarmac, and 700x45C Kenda Ambra tyres add a bit of cushioning of their own with room in the frame for up to 700x50c. The 21-speed Shimano drivetrain keeps a low bottom gear for loaded climbs, while Shimano BR-M375 mechanical disc brakes are simple to adjust and far more consistent in the wet than rim brakes. Shimano hubs, chainset and bottom bracket at this money are a sensible touch - they simply keep going.
