  • Big Trail 500 2027 Gunmetal Grey (Black) / XS

Sat in the middle of the Big Trail range, the 500 leans harder into the hardcore hardtail idea. Same TFS 6061 double-butted aluminium frame, same progressive 64.0° head angle and 76.5° seat angle, but the kit list steps up to parts you would normally expect on a full suspension trail bike.

Up front is a RockShox Psylo Silver RC air fork with 140mm of travel and a platform damper. SRAM DB4 four-piston callipers front and rear give you proper enduro-grade braking, and the tyres are the combination most UK riders end up fitting anyway: a Maxxis Minion DHF 29x2.5 EXO up front with a Dissector 29x2.4 EXO out back, both folding and tubeless ready. Shifting is a 1x10 Shimano CUES U6000 setup with an 11-48 LG300 cassette, on wheels built with 29mm internal rims and Shimano Centerlock hubs.

Dropper travel scales with the frame, from 150mm on the smallest size up to 230mm on the largest, so taller riders are not short-changed. Agilometer sizing means you choose your frame by how you want the bike to ride: longer for stability and speed, shorter for agility.
