The DSX E takes Marin's do-it-all DSX platform and adds smooth, lightweight electric assistance. Built around an all-new Series 4 6061 aluminium frame with a full carbon fork, it stays light and stiff where it matters while taking the buzz out of rough roads for a fast, comfortable ride.

At its heart is a Bosch SX motor — 250W and 55Nm — powered by a Bosch Compact PowerTube 400Wh battery and controlled via a neat Bosch Purion 400 display. It's a light, natural-feeling system that lets you efficiently climb almost any gradient, then rip back down making the most of the TranzX dropper post. A Shimano Deore 1x12 drivetrain keeps the gearing simple and wide-ranging.

High-volume Vee Tire 45mm tyres (with clearance for 700x50) iron out rough tarmac and gravel alike, powerful Tektro hydraulic disc brakes haul you back up when needed, and rack and mudguard mounts make it ready to own the commute or a weekend mission.
