The Hei Hei has been a fixture in Kona's range for decades, and this aluminium G10 build shows exactly why. It's a short-travel full-suspension bike that blurs the line between cross-country and trail — quick and efficient enough to cover big miles, yet composed enough to let you enjoy the way back down.

With 130mm of fork travel paired to 120mm at the rear, the Hei Hei sits in that sweet down-country spot: light on its feet when you're climbing, but with enough suspension and modern geometry to stay calm when the trail turns rough. The tough Kona Race Light 6061 aluminium frame carries the same efficient suspension platform and surefooted geometry as its pricier carbon siblings, so you get the ride quality without the price tag.

The build is chosen for real-world riding. A Fox 34 Float Rhythm fork and Fox Float shock take care of the bumps, SRAM's Eagle 70 Transmission delivers crisp, durable 12-speed shifting, and SRAM Motive four-piston brakes give plenty of control when the trail steepens. Maxxis Dissector tyres on tubeless-ready WTB rims round it off, ready for whatever kind of trail trouble you go looking for.
