From the Enduro World Series to Red Bull Rampage, top riders reach for the Insurgent Spherical and the confidence it delivers. Giro's engineers maximised the intake points for cool, fresh air, resulting in cooling that is 5% more efficient than the Disciple MIPS. A lightweight, soft-touch and absorbent pad set includes two different cheek pads with each of the three sizes for a customisable fit, secured with a directional snap system that allows easy removal in a crash.
Spherical Technology uses a pair of different-density EPP and EPS foam layers that work like a ball and socket to redirect impact energy in a crash. Additional features include a patent-pending Flex Gasket along the lower edge of the helmet, designed to reduce the role a helmet can play in certain collarbone impacts, tool-free breakaway visor bolts with an integrated Allen key receiver, and a central visor bolt hole that doubles as an ideal mount for P.O.V. action cameras.
Features
- Spherical Technology, powered by MIPS: a ball-and-socket design that lets the outer liner rotate around the inner liner to help redirect impact forces
- Different-density EPP and EPS foam layers for impact management
- Cooling 5% more efficient than the Disciple MIPS, with optimised intake vents and Wind Tunnel rear exhaust
- Two sets of removable cheek pads per size with a directional snap system, removable without disturbing head and neck position
- Patent-pending Flex Gasket to reduce the role the helmet can play in certain collarbone impacts
- Tool-free breakaway visor bolts with an integrated Allen key receiver
- Central visor bolt hole that doubles as a P.O.V. action camera mount
- Roc Loc Air DH fit system that suspends the helmet slightly off the skull for extra airflow, with one-handed tension and fore-aft tilt adjustment
- IONIC silver-based treatment for natural, permanent odour protection
