A dual-diameter piston layout delivers strong, controllable stopping power that won't slow you down but won't hold you back either.

A new piston seal keeps rebound speed consistent, a heat-resistant resin piston manages the heat of long, hard descents, and Shimano's low-viscosity mineral oil keeps the feel stable across a wide temperature range. The M6220 is fully compatible with Shimano's new 2.2mm thick rotors (RT-CL750 and RT-6B750) for a serious braking upgrade, and works with current Shimano pads in metal and resin (without fin).
