Picker & Packer

We have a busy warehouse with items coming into stock each day from multiple suppliers and hundreds of orders to dispatch on time each day. As a member of the warehouse team you'll be ensuring that our customers get their orders on-time and in pristine condition. We use leading warehouse management systems and are a fully digital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Goods-in: unpacking goods from suppliers and booking them in to the warehouse or despatch bins
  
• Picking goods for customer orders from our warehouses using hand held terminals
  
• Packing goods securely for despatch to customers
  
• Stock management - organising and optimising bins, shelving and racking in the warehouse
  
• Ensuring a tidy and safe warehouse environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

• A dedicated and hardworking team member that is able to work quickly and proactively 
  
• Positive can-do attitude to fit in with our team and work culture
  
• Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
  
• You must be very organised, highly capable of multi-tasking and able to be calm under pressure.
  
• You need to have an enthusiastic and proactive work ethic.
  
• It goes without saying that a love of riding and knowledge of parts is hugely advantageous.
• You should be physically fit as you will be working on your feet all day. If working in the goods-in or picking sections then you can expect to be covering over 10,000 steps per day. You will need to be able to lift boxes of up to 20kg.
  

The Details

• Salary: £25,000 - £26,000
  
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week (some weekend rotation required). Standard hours are 9am - 5pm but this is flexible and an early start is advantageous. At peak times there will be a requirement to adjust working hours to best suit warehouse demands.
• Location: Biketart, near Canterbury.
  
• Holiday: 30 days annual holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
