Make way for the kings, this is the one we've been waiting for. Nothing compares to a Yeti mountain bike, and as the new flagship model the LT represents the the pinnacle of Enduro bike artistry. The LT is also the first of the brand's analogue mountain bikes to be built around the all-new Sixfinity suspension platform.
After more than a decade of suspension development, race-winning frame technology and progressive, size-specific geometry come together in Yeti's most capable long-travel bike to date. It runs 170mm of fork travel and 160mm at the rear, and consolidates the much-loved SB160 and SB165 into a single, hugely versatile platform that can be tuned to suit your terrain, your riding style and your choice of wheels. If it looks familiar, that is because you have already seen it winning under the Yeti / FOX Factory team at recent Enduro World Cup rounds.
Sixfinity Six-Bar Suspension Linkage System -
At the heart of the LT is Sixfinity, a six-bar linkage that drives the shock through six pivots for genuinely independent control of acceleration and deceleration. In plain terms, that means loads of pedalling support and traction when you are climbing or sprinting between corners, and a supple, composed feel that keeps the bike calm and planted when you are hard on the brakes into a rough section.
Near Infinite Adjustment -
A leverage-rate flip chip lets you choose between three progression settings (15%, 20% and 25%) so you can set the bike up racy and consistent, balanced, or plush and poppy with more bottom-out support. As with every Yeti, the shock tune is developed in-house rather than taken off the shelf, so the ride feel is dialled from the moment you throw a leg over it.
A rocker-link flip chip switches between full 29" and mixed-wheel (MX) setups with no compromise to the geometry, while a separate "Slack" chip slackens the head angle by half a degree to 63.5° and drops the bottom bracket 6mm when running MX. Longer, size-specific modular dropouts fine-tune the rear-centre for each frame size, with an additional +10mm option included in the box.
Custom Tuned Fox Factory X2 Shock -
Yeti go further than anyone else to achieve their signature sublime ride feel. The LT comes equipped with a custom tuned Fox X2. Yeti’s R&D Mechanic Dave ‘DZ’ Ziegman runs endless shock tune iterations until the ride characteristics aren’t just good, they’re exactly right for the platform.
Yeti TURQ Carbon -
The LT is made exclusively from Yeti's top-tier TURQ Series carbon, now reinforced with Vectran liquid-crystal-polymer fibres for extra impact resistance and making the LT frame near silent. TURQ carbon is not only Yeti's lightest, but it also maintains exceptional durability and stiffness, all with a fatigue reducing flex profile to mute trail vibration As with all Yeti frames the quality of finish is outstanding and the standard by which other frames are judged.
