The SM-RT86 Ice-Tec rotors offer exceptional performance with their stainless steel/alloy 3-layer sandwich construction, effectively managing heat during rides. This unique construction allows heat from braking to dissipate quickly through the aluminum core, resulting in surface temperature reductions of approximately 50 degrees Celsius.

When paired with Ice-Tec pads, surface temperatures can drop from around 400 to 300 degrees Celsius, significantly enhancing overall performance while minimizing noise and brake fade. The rotor's contact surface is designed to provide excellent pad clearance and cooling, thus improving pad performance and longevity. Additionally, a large forged alloy spider supports the rotor surface, enhancing rigidity and reducing weight.
