Not everyone gets on with a drop handlebar, and not every ride needs one. The Croix De Fer 20 FB takes the do-anything character of the classic Croix de Fer and swaps the drops for a flat bar, giving you a more upright, confidence-inspiring position that suits town riding, commuting and loaded gravel days in equal measure.

At its heart is a frame built from Genesis Mjolnir chromoly tubing, paired with a matching chromoly fork. Steel gives the bike a naturally smooth, forgiving ride that takes the sting out of rough tracks and long days in the saddle, while the relaxed gravel geometry keeps things stable when the surface turns loose. Rack and mudguard mounts mean it happily doubles up as a year-round commuter or light-touring rig.

Shifting comes from Shimano's CUES U6000 groupset, a wide-range 1x11 setup that keeps the drivetrain simple and reliable whether you are grinding up a climb or spinning along the flat. TRP Spyre mechanical disc brakes give dependable, easy-to-service stopping in all weathers, and the Maxxis Rambler 700x45mm tubeless-ready tyres roll fast on tarmac while still finding grip on gravel and hardpack.
