As a vegetarian of 40 years+, I really did not want to buy this saddle. But, as a 100 mile a week rider, I tried this as a recommended last resort to try and solve my saddle sore issue, and it has. The first 5 miles it was like sitting on a brick. It got better 25 miles later, then steadily improved from there. Weird really because it isnt soft, just more compliant than a plastic saddle with a foam cover. It is also slippery so your rear end moves about a bit more. Maybe that helps? Whatever it is, it worked for me, along with good cycling shorts, chamois cream, and good hygiene regime. Apparently, my monthly bath was part of the issue and I have two a month now.
