maxxis-torch-bmx-tyre
Torch BMX Tyre

The Torch is a race-bred BMX tyre built for the short, flat-out sprint of a modern BMX track. When a moto is over in around 30 seconds you need every advantage you can get, so Maxxis paired a lightweight 120 TPI casing with a low, tightly packed tread that rolls quickly over hard-packed dirt and tarmac and stays predictable through the berms.

The tread uses two rubber compounds - one tuned for low rolling resistance, the other for cornering grip - and a Silkworm breaker sits under the tread to add puncture and tear resistance without piling on weight. This 20 x 1-1/8" version runs on a wire bead, keeping it affordable for a tyre you'll get through over a season of racing, and at 260g it's still impressively light.

Features

Lightweight 120 TPI casing for a supple ride and quick acceleration out of the gate

Dual compound tread balances low rolling resistance with cornering grip

Silkworm breaker under the tread for added puncture and tear resistance

Low, fast-rolling tread pattern designed for modern BMX tracks

Equally at home on dirt, street, park and flat

Wire bead

Specification

Discipline: BMX

Size: 20 x 1-1/8"

ETRTO: 28-451

Bead: Wire

Casing: 120 TPI

Compound: Dual Compound

Puncture protection: Silkworm breaker

Weight: 260g

Colour: Black

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0568/3065/6691/files/torch-bmx-tyre-black-20-x-1-1-8-1261392330.jpg?v=1791377182
