kona-process-246-2027
Process 246 2027

The Process 246 is the next step for young riders who've outgrown their first mountain bike and are ready for real trails. It takes the design thinking behind Kona's adult Process range and scales it properly for smaller bodies, with geometry, suspension and controls sized for kids rather than simply shrunk down.

The 6061 aluminium frame gives 120mm of rear travel, controlled by a RockShox Deluxe Select shock, with a 120mm Manitou J-Unit Comp fork up front. It runs a 26" front and 24" rear wheel as standard, and can also run 26" at both ends as your rider grows. Good standover and an efficient pedalling platform make it easy to get along with on the climbs.

The parts are chosen for small hands and big ambitions: Shimano Deore four-piston brakes with reach-adjustable levers, a Shimano CUES 10-speed drivetrain with short 140mm cranks, and a 100mm TranzX dropper post. From backyard jump lines to the first proper descents, it's a bike that builds skills and confidence. For 2027 it comes in Gloss Metallic Burnt Orange.

Features

Kona 6061 aluminium frame with 120mm rear travel

RockShox Deluxe Select rear shock

Manitou J-Unit Comp 120mm fork

Mixed 26" front / 24" rear wheels, or 26" front and rear

Shimano CUES 10-speed drivetrain, 11-39t, 140mm cranks

Shimano Deore 4-piston brakes with reach-adjustable levers

TranzX 100mm dropper post

Maxxis Minion DHF / DHR 2.3" tyres

Specifications::Process 246

Kids Trail

6061 Aluminium

120mm

120mm

26" / 24"

Frame - Kona 6061 Aluminium, 120mm travel
Rear Shock - RockShox Deluxe Select 165x40mm
Fork - Manitou J-Unit Comp 120mm
Crankset - Prowheel DMJ 28t, 140mm
Bottom Bracket - Prowheel PF92
Pedals - Kona JS2
Chain - Shimano CUES LG500
Cassette - Shimano CUES 4000 11-39t 10-speed
Rear Derailleur - Shimano CUES U4010
Shifter - Shimano CUES 6000
Brake Calipers - Shimano Deore 6120 4-piston
Brake Levers - Shimano Deore 6100
Rotors - Shimano RT26 160mm 6-bolt front and rear
Headset - FSA No.57B ZS44/ZS56
Handlebar - Kona 31.8mm, 9° back, 5° up, 15mm rise, 680mm
Stem - Kona 31.8mm, 0° rise, 35mm
Seatpost - TranzX Dropper 31.6mm, 100mm
Seat Clamp - Kona Clamp 34.9mm
Grips - Velo JR
Saddle - Kona Junior
Front Hub - Formula 15x110mm
Rear Hub - Formula 12x148mm HG
Spokes - Stainless 2.0mm Black
Rims - Alex MD30
Front Tyre - Maxxis Minion DHF 26x2.3"
Rear Tyre - Maxxis Minion DHR 24x2.3"
Colour - Gloss Metallic Burnt Orange with Espresso decals

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0568/3065/6691/files/process-246-2027-orange-one-size-1262698874.jpg?v=1792068373
