dt-swiss-xr-421-cross-country-rim
XR 421 Cross Country Rim

The XR 421 is the new alloy cross-country rim from DT Swiss, replacing the XR 391. Whether you're going for your fastest lap of the local XC loop or chasing your mates, it's designed to give you confidence when you need it most, lap after lap.

It's made from DT's premium aluminium alloy with a precision-welded joint, and the lightweight asymmetric construction evens out spoke tension between the two sides of the wheel for a stronger, longer-lasting build. A flatter profile and wider bead hooks improve impact resistance and help protect the tyre.

The 28mm internal width is optimised for tyres up to 2.7" wide, so it supports the latest wide XC race tyres as well as tougher trail rubber for rowdier rides. It comes in 29" with 28 spoke holes, supplied with black DT Squorx nipples, PHR washers and chrome, black and gold decal sets to swap with the standard red decals.

Features

Replaces the XR 391 cross-country rim

Premium aluminium alloy with a precision-welded rim joint

Lightweight asymmetric profile for more even spoke tension and a more durable wheel

Flatter profile with wider bead hooks for improved impact resistance

28mm internal width, optimised for tyres up to 2.7"

Black DT Squorx nipples with Pro Lock thread treatment for easy building and long-term stability, with PHR washers included

Red decals fitted, with chrome, black and gold decal sets included

Specification

Intended use: Cross Country

Material: Aluminium alloy, welded joint

Wheel size: 29"

Spoke holes: 28

Valve drilling: Presta

Brake type: Disc only

Internal width: 28mm

External width: 32mm

Rim height: 20mm

ERD: 604mm

Weight: 548g

Maximum tyre width: 2.7"

Maximum system weight: 120kg

Nipples: Black DT Squorx with PHR washers

Colour: Black

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0568/3065/6691/files/xr-421-cross-country-rim-black-29-28h-1260460357.jpg?v=1790858792
