dt-swiss-xm-431-all-mountain-rim
XM 431 All Mountain Rim

The XM 431 is the new alloy all-mountain rim from DT Swiss, replacing the popular XM 481. It's built for the explorer in all of us, pairing close to cross-country weight with extra reinforcement where it counts, so it's equally at home on long days in the hills and on rougher trail descents.

It's extruded from DT's premium aluminium alloy with a precision-welded joint, and uses the new asymmetric profile found across the updated range. Offsetting the spoke bed evens out spoke tension between the two sides of the wheel, giving a stronger, more durable build. Wider, flatter bead hooks derived from the FR 541 downhill rim improve impact resistance and help prevent pinch flats, while the redesigned tyre seat gives the tyre better lateral support.

The 30mm internal width suits almost all current MTB tyres. It's available in 27.5" and 29" with 28 spoke holes, and comes with black DT Squorx nipples, PHR washers and chrome, black and gold decal sets to swap with the standard red decals.

Features

Replaces the XM 481 all-mountain rim

Premium aluminium alloy with a precision-welded rim joint

Asymmetric profile for more even spoke tension and a more durable wheel

Wide, flat bead hooks derived from the FR 541 DH rim for better impact and pinch-flat resistance

Redesigned tyre seat for improved lateral tyre support

30mm internal width to suit almost all current MTB tyres

Black DT Squorx nipples with Pro Lock thread treatment for easy building and long-term stability, with PHR washers included

Red decals fitted, with chrome, black and gold decal sets included

Specification

Intended use: All Mountain / Trail

Material: Aluminium alloy, welded joint

Wheel size: 27.5" or 29"

Spoke holes: 28

Valve drilling: Presta

Brake type: Disc only

Internal width: 30mm

ERD: 564mm (27.5"), 602mm (29")

Weight: 544g (27.5"), 580g (29")

Maximum system weight: 120kg

Nipples: Black DT Squorx with PHR washers

Colour: Black

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0568/3065/6691/files/xm-431-all-mountain-rim-black-27-5-28h-1260460355.jpg?v=1790858835
