When Ibisfounder Scott Nicol restarted Ibis in 2005 he had one mission - build the best carbon full suspension bike possible, which is basically what he did with the Mojo. Biketart are long time supporters of Ibis and, as well as stocking the Mojo HD3 will, at a call, order any Ibis you want to get your hands on.
The Ibis Mojo was already an iconic bike, with a history going back to the early 1990s. When it came back in 2005, however, it was a totally different beast. The original was a steel or titanium hardtail, with traditional angles and a need for XC speed. The new version was a full carbon, full suspension trail monster, with 140mm of suspension and the most swooping angles of any bike out there. For Ibis, it was an instant hit! They could not sell enough of this unique looking machine with its DW link suspension, relaxed head angle and perfect trail manners. Even thirteen years later, the Ibis Mojo is one of the most radical looking bikes on the planet.
As well as the originally, there are several varients of the Mojo available. With 27.5" tyres (the 2005 model was 26") you can choose the 130mm travel Mojo 3 (the third version of the bike) or the HD 3 with 150mm travel. If you get your kicks shredding singletrack and like a climb or two, the Mojo 3 is the perfect bike. It handles the ups easily and loves to descend at speed. For riders who like things a bit more enduro, the HD3 has more travel (150mm) and slacker anlges. It hoovers up high speed steep descents - magic!
Ibis have also kept up with the trend for hooligan 29ers. Their big wheeled Ripley got a makeover last year and the Ibis Ripley LS (long and slack) is ready for gnarlier trails and higher speeds then its older brother. The Ripley LS is just as head turning as the Mojo, just with bigger wheels. It will roll over huge obstacles, stays stable at high speeds and brings the brilliant DW link to the hooligan 29er party.
Whether you want a complete bike or a custom build from the frame up, Ibis provide. Biketart actually love building bikes from scratch, so select an Ibis frame and give us a call to get the perfect Ibis for you.
