Very good so far

Took apart the non-branded rear hub on my Carrera Crossfire 3 when the freehub started slipping. Found that the bearings were shot too (on an 18-month-old bike - had the previous owner been parking it in the sea?) so decided it was time to learn to lace a wheel.

Since putting it back together, I've put perhaps 70 miles on the rebuilt rear wheel and it seems to be performing well. I think it rolls better than the old one, which I'm attributing to the bearings being in good order. It looks to have decent seals on it too - the reason I bought this one rather than the marginally cheaper Deore M475.

Biketart shipped it quickly too. Overall, very happy so far - would buy again. Considering a dynamo front hub next...
