The Evil Calling is their new 130mm travel, 27.5" wheeled frame. Sharing the same DNA as other bikes in the Evil Bikes stable, The Calling is a mid-travel trail demon that is begging to be shown a good time.Â
Taking cues from Evil's short travel 29er The Following, the new Calling frame adds a sprinkle more fun to the mix. The Calling is the one bike you need for all-round trail riding, the occasional uplift and just messing in the woods.
The Calling has a 65.8 to 66.4 head angle, adjustable through the frames' Delta System. This assumes a 140mm travel fork. Yes you can put a bigger for on it if you wish, e.g. a 150mm Pike or Fox 34/36. The BB runs between 13" and 13.3". The modern geometry (slack, long, low) gives the bike a very playful feel. Having said that, Evil's suspension design is spot-on and EVERYONE comments on how amazingly Evil's bikes pedal.
The frame features an integrated upper chain device. An additional E13 lower chain device and bash is available separately. A downtube protector is also integrated and the frame comes with Evil seatstay and chainstay protectors.Â
At Biketart we've been selling Evil since 2009 and the boss has been riding one since 2005. We love the brand. They're not cheap these days but they are AWESOME bikes.
