There are few mountain bikes still out there with a longer, more illustrious history than the Orange P7 RS 2018 and none that have respected their past and adapted to the times quite a beautifully as the P7. Just like the original P7, this machine is made from steel, Reynolds 525 as it happens, but unlike its granddaddy, the Orange P7 RS 2018 has long slack angles, a big suspension fork, 650b wheels and the desire to be pointed down steep, steep trails and let rip. Up front, that 'big fork' is a 150mm RockShox Pike (up 10mm from last year), that'll soak up huge bumps and let your legs select the line for the rigid back end. Lightweight, super tough Orange Pro 4/ Race Face Arc 30 27.5" wheels will roll over almost everything and give you the flickabilty to dodge the rest. Of course, what goes down, must go up and the P7 RS is ready for those climbs with a SRAM Eagle 12 speed drivetrain offering a huge gear range to get you to the top of those rocky Lakeland passes...then to get back down steep, twisty descents, which the P7 RS absolutely loves, there is an 800mm Renthal Fatbar and matching Apex M35 stem to give you all the control you need and a RockShox Reverbe 150mm dropper post allows you to keep your weight in the right place. Powerful SRAM Guide R brakes to bring the P7 RS to a halt when you get to the bottom/ slightly over cook things. The Orange P7 RS is the perfect combination of mountain biking heritage and bang-up-to-date hardcore hardtail technology. Matched to British riding conditions and our love of 'winch and plummet' riding, the Orange P7 RS 2018 is as good a bike as you could possible ask for.
