Bringing versatility to the world of cyclocross race bikes, the Ibis Hakka MX offers something that no other 'cross bike can. While every other cross and gravel bike is set up for a single size wheel and maybe 40c clearance, the Hakka will take 27.5" and 700C wheels, with clearance for up to 2.1" tyres if you want to get super gnarly. Equally happy grinding out the miles, caked in mud or fording a rocky stream, the Hakka is the most versatile machine Ibis have ever made. The carbon frame is road bike light (just 1kg) but tough enough to take proper off road abuse. Making the Hakka disc brake specific means you can run everything from 23c road tyres to proper off roaders and still rely upon real braking power and modulation. An ENVE carbon fork makes us of the very best layup in the business and, lets face, adds a tidy bit of bling to the front end of the bike. Kit wise, you can choose from two different builds, each available with either 700c or 27.5" wheels - which is nice. Whether you go for the classic feel of SRAM Rival or the hi-tech Shimano Di2, shifting will be smooth a silk and give you the ratios you need to climb just about anything in your path. Both Hakka MX models come with an MTB cassette for the widest possible choice of gears. Ibis wheels in alloy or carbon flavour are wrapped in Schwalbe tyres as standard, but Biketart reckon you'll want at least two more sets on the side - the Hakka is just that versatile. Elsewhere, the Hakka MX gets some great finishing kit from the likes of Cane Creek, Praxis, WTB, Easton and Ibis. With an eye on every sort of trail (or tarmac), handling to match its MTB cousins and more versatility than a Swiss Army knife, the Ibis Hakka MX might just be the last N+1 you ever need to buy.
