Maxxis Wetscream DH Tyre
The ultimate MUD tyre?
This is for maximum grip in the brown stuff! Beloved of DH racers after the best chances in the wet come race day.
The Wetscream is available in two different widths and two compounds.
The 42A compound is sofer to give the best possible grip. The 60A compound is a bit harder for longer life. For out and out performance go with the 42As, but use 60As if you want a set you can leave on your bike all year. As the front tyre wears less than the rear, putting a 42A on the front and a 60A on the back is a good choice.
Wetscreams are not front/rear specific and are usually run as a pair. If you want better rolling resistance you could run an alternative rear tyre, or cut down the centre knobs if you have the patience!
