Race Face Next Chainset
The Next crank represents another milestone for RaceFace. Next cranks are one of the lightest, strongest 100% carbon fibre cranks ever made. RaceFace has created a crank that goes beyond existing carbon material and process limitations, setting a new benchmark in performance cross-country components. Next combines over seven years of RaceFace composite technology with over fifteen years of crank development, producing a carbon crank with an unparalleled strength to weight ratio.
The arms are the result of over two years of intensive engineering and are manufactured in our British Columbia, Canada manufacturing facility.
RaceFace uses the same proprietary carbon material as the new Boeing Dreamliner. This aerospace composite material is available only in North America.
The crank arms are completely hollow with all unnecessary material being removed from the centre core. The composite arms have no internal aluminium spine.
By removing the centre core in the post curing process, our engineers mould at high pressure levels resulting in optimal material compaction and an overall lower void structure.
