Swobo Baxter
Our all-new Baxter bumps the ante up a notch on urban performance bikes, with a lightweight aluminum frame and carbon fiber fork, high-end Shimano Alfine 8-speed internal hub and front and rear disc brakes. Baxter is fast with 700C wheels, and is designed with an upright riding position for heads’ up city riding, and a “proper” civilized point of view. At least we think it’s a proper point of view.
We sculpted the frame tubes, the fork legs and the chainguard for the best balance between form and function. There is clearance for fenders in the frame and fork, and eyelets for both. The rear brake cable is hidden in the top tube, so it can’t catch on clothing, plus it just looks good.
Swobo also has the need to address the bike nerd in all of us…..here’s how: The Shimano hub and disc brakes work in any weather and require little to no maintenance. Wheels are 36 hole for better durability on rough roads and riding over potholes and railroad tracks. The seat post features an integrated tail light and the tires have a patented 3M reflective strip, so you are always visible. Swobo custom dropouts are adjustable for perfect chain tension. The wheel drops out without removing the chain from the chainring, like you need to do with standard rear-entry horizontal dropouts. Our custom chainguard protects your pants, keeps that road sludge at bay, and is just nice to have. The custom carbon fiber fork has an integrated disc mount, and additional cantilever mounts, in case you ever want to change the brakes.
